The Basic Foot Orthosis (BFO) is firmer than the accommodator, and provides more support, control and durability. Users experience excellent shock absorption, cushioning and pronation control. Rigid support can be harsh and jarring. The forgiving BFO is readily tolerated in the most active sports. Patient compliance is high. The BFO redistributes weight off the problem area, relieving pain and improving functional use of the foot. A BFO can be used as a convenient neutral orthotic base.
